Stop dicking around and do it.

Ok.  The great news is I am 101.3kgs.


The fabulous news is - I'm going to get under 100 very, very soon. I WANT it!   


I've been swanning around, doing nothing much in the way of burning energy (read: nothing) for the past 6 mths and my weight just isn't shifting. 


So my simple plan is to..  


move more 

drink some fresh vegie juice

 increase my water intake 


Nothing fancy, just the basics. 

You'll hear a god almighty hoot and hollerin' when I get there. I promise you!

Hi there, Just remember when having yummy fresh juices to check the calories. I have fresh home made juice alot and sometimes you need to consider what is going into the juice. Eg; by eatting 1 orange and an apple has less calories than juicing 3 oranges and 2 apples to get your juice! (Food for thought)
Tips for exersise you ask, its best to listen to your body, if you have dicky knees for example stay away from high impact, such as treadmills, replace it with a exersise bike or rowing mahine! Boxing is fabo and is a great cardio fitness, but as well as that boxing is great for focus and strengthing the mind and its Focus! Start of low go slow and then build up at your pace....listen to your body!

You know what - when you put your mind to something like this you get it done - you will be under 100 in no time.

Yay Bec! I've been doing the 30 day shred and love it. Its pretty intense but only 20 mins and seems to get results really fast! Just don't give up. The first circuit in stage one is the hardest I think. I have it on my computer and I hide in the bedroom to do it. With your busy and varied schedule it may be just the ticket.

I think it is always a good moment when we decide to stop dicking around. When I started to move more I had to set myself a plan because I knew if i didn't I would be more likely 'not' to do it. So I have stocked up on DVD's and I really enjoy Jillian Michaels Backside & Frontside DVD's. Really basic. Really simple. But deceptively so. I am going to start the 30 Day Shred today (like Liz above - whoo) and the 20 minute a day commitment is what won me over - that and the results of some friends who have done it. The main thing is do what makes you happy so you feel like you want to do it again the next day. And the next day. And the one after that.

I think there are alot of us about that need to "stop dicking around"
Gtetting under 100 is the most amazing feeling and I know you can do it in no time...

Go you good thing! I agree with Margaret above re the manageable, regular 20 mins thing... they had a government health campaign here with the slogan, "exercise: you only have to take it regularly, not seriously"... so true :)
